In the customization dialog, click the tab Toolbars.
From the drop-down box in the right column, select the toolbar you want to customize. By default, it is set to Standard. To create a new toolbar, click the plus sign.
Activate the check boxes next to the commands you want to appear on the toolbar, and deactivate the check boxes next to the commands you do not want to appear.
Repeat to customize additional toolbars.
To switch back to the original settings, click Defaults and confirm with Yes.
Click OK.
Procedure 9.3: Customizing Menus
You can add or delete items from current menus, reorganize menus, and even create new menus.
Click Tools › Customize › Menus.
From the drop-down box in the right column, select the toolbar you want to customize. By default, it is set to File. To create a new menu, click the plus sign.
To add menu items, select an item from the Function box and add it by clicking the right arrow. To remove an item, select it in the menu box and delete it by clicking the left arrow.
To rearrange the order of items in the menu, select an item and drag it to the desired position.
To insert separators or submenus, use the Insert button.
To switch back to the original settings, click Defaults and confirm with Yes.
Click OK.
Procedure 9.4: Customizing Key Combinations
You can reassign currently assigned key combinations and assign new ones to frequently used functions.
Click Tools › Customize › Keyboard.
Select the key or key combination you want to assign a command to from the Shortcut Keys box.
Select a Category and an appropriate function.
Click Modify to assign the function to the key or Delete to remove an existing assignment.
Click OK.
Procedure 9.5: Customizing Events
LibreOffice also provides ways to assign macros to events such as application start-up or the saving of a document. The assigned macro runs automatically whenever the selected event occurs.
Click Tools › Customize › Events.
Select the event you want to change.
Assign or remove macros for the selected event.
Click OK.
